Nothing worked. In 1997 he attended Allen Carr\u2019s original center in London and to his surprise he left the seminar a happy non-smoker.<\/p>\n<p>John was a Member of the Hotel Catering and International Management Association (MHCIMA) and joined Allen Carr in 1998. He sold his business interests in the hospitality industry and under Allen Carr\u2019s supervision he underwent the training process to become an Allen Carr\u2019s Easyway Facilitator and took over the operation of the London Center where he personally treated more than 30,000 smokers. He went on to expand the UK seminar center network, the international franchise and publishing network overseeing the creation of new Allen Carr products dealing with an ever increasing list of addictions and behavior issues, in a variety of new media.<\/p>\n<p>John reluctantly allowed himself to be described by publishers as \u201cco-author\u201d of Allen\u2019s books \u2014 but delights in deflecting all the praise and acclaim for them straight back on the great man himself; \u201cit\u2019s ALL Allen Carr\u201d he says. He has been instrumental in the writing, creation, &amp; editing of many of our books, ebooks and audio titles.<\/p>\n<p>John has also written and developed our range of videos and online video programs.<\/p>\n<p>John became a Director in 2004 and Global Managing Director &amp; CEO in 2012.
