Happiness Have Been Off the Scale Since I Quit<\/h3>\nIt is great to see Allen Carr&#8217;s Easyway to Quit Smoking mentioned in this piece in the UK&#8217;s, Guardian Newspaper.<br><br>Rachel Obordo&#8217;s feature looks at a whole variety of resolutions that people might make this month and comes up with some recommendations and interesting case studies.<br><br>There are many so called vices that the feature might cover for which Allen Carr&#8217;s Easyway provides a perfect solution. For example, for someone wishing to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression in 2018 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allencarr.com\/en-us\/mindfulness\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Allen Carr&#8217;s Mindfulness<\/a> would help. For someone wanting to get out of debt or quit gambling <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allencarr.com\/en-us\/how-to-get-out-of-debt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Allen Carr&#8217;s &#8216;Get Out of Debt&#8217;<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allencarr.com\/en-us\/how-to-stop-gambling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Allen Carr&#8217;s &#8216;Quit Gambling&#8217;<\/a> programs are perfect.<br><br>The quit smoking case study featured in The Guardian was Chris, 50, from Warsaw, Poland:<br><br>Chris says, <em>\u2018I quit smoking and my wellbeing and happiness have been off the scale\u2019<\/em><br><br>His story is fabulous &#8211; but it&#8217;s a relief for smokers reading this to know that, unlike Chris, you don&#8217;t need a health scare or to imagine awful things happening in order for Allen Carr&#8217;s Easyway method to work for you.<br><br>Chris&#8217;s story is interesting and inspirational though.<br><br><em>&#8220;In late 2016, I went to the doctor and she said that, after 30 years of smoking, I had chronic bronchitis. I did some research and realised I had to let go of a really silly addiction. To give myself every chance, I bought Allen Carr\u2019s book, The Easy Way to Quit Smoking, which helped enormously.<\/em><br><br><em>I did have a particular kind of encouragement \u2013 ill health and a doctor\u2019s warning can be strong motivators. Once I read Carr\u2019s book, I didn\u2019t feel the need for a cigarette. I realised that whether I suffered or not was a simple choice. It feels wrong to say it out loud, but I really do feel sorry for other smokers, because they do not need to smoke and it is only their choice.<\/em><br><br><em>For anyone thinking of quitting smoking, apart from getting Carr\u2019s book, as with all addictions the first step is to admit that you are addicted, and to decide that you want a future where you are happy. I also offer my own exercise of the imagination: think that tomorrow your cough could worsen, or you will get a pain in your chest. You visit your doctor, who tells you that you have only weeks to live because you\u2019ve smoked your whole life. That has happened to millions of people. Can you imagine their regret? I was lucky: I saw my doctor before it was too late and now I\u2019m free of the poison, am healthy, saving a fortune and can\u2019t imagine anything that could ever make me want to smoke another cigarette.<\/em><br><br><em>My general wellbeing and happiness have been off the scale this year, and the fact I might just live to see my grandchildren after all is a source of daily contentment. What will my resolution be this coming year? I have put on some weight (but not as much as I thought I would), so I should probably try to lose some of it in 2018.&#8221;<\/em><br><br><a class=\"button red hvr\" title=\"Read more about 'How to
