John Dicey, Global CEO of Allen Carr’s Easyway speaking on the Vanessa Feltz show on TalkTv:

“Smokers shouldn’t be marginalised and penalised at work because their smoking breaks reduce their productivity.

Most of the workforce have their productivity compromised by other addictions and behavioural issues; those who suffer with alcohol/drug abuse, sleep issues, eating or weight issues, and even gambling and debt issues.

There’s a whole range of negative behaviours and addictions that impact on workplace productivity so smokers shouldn’t be singled out.

Great employers help their employees to adopt healthy lifestyles that in the first instance benefits the employee immeasurably and as a beautiful bonus makes them more productive in the work place.”
